Theresa Goh Sets New World Record in 50m Breaststroke
Theresa Goh stormed to the gold medal for Singapore and set a new world record in the 50m Breaststroke with a timing of 52.62 seconds in the 4th ASEAN Para Games held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
She rewrote her own world record of 52.94 seconds.
In a fruitful first day of competition that reaped 2 Golds, 1 Silver and 2 Bronzes for Team Singapore¡¯s swimming team, a total of nine swimmers represented Singapore at the swimming pool of His Majesty The King¡¯s 80th Birthday Anniversary stadium.
She will be competing next in the 200m Freestyle and the 100m Breaststroke on Wednesday and Friday respectively.
