If you are keen on playing a role in the 4th ASEAN Para Games, you can volunteer as:

Position 1: Team Physician
Duties and Responsibilities
(Prior to Games)
- Visit sports groups to understand the unique conditions and identify risk factors
- Make adequate medical preparations for the well-being of athletes and officials, including purchasing and preparing medical supplies
- Provide nutritional and health advice in a preparatory talk for athletes and officials

(During Games)
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and emergencies for contingent, and others if necessary
- Make adequate medical preparations for the well-being of Singaporean athletes and officials, including refilling medical supplies
- Work with therapists and coaches regarding the proper use of exercises and physiotherapeutic techniques, and advise them against practices that may be dangerous to athletes
- Provide daily reports to Singapore Secretariat on contingent’s well-being and any emergencies

Qualifications
(Requirements)
- Valid degree and current license
- Current or recent practical experience

(Assets)
- Training or experience in sports medicine
- Interest to work with a diverse group of disabilities including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, physical / intellectual / hearing / visual impairment
- Ability to evaluate the emotional well-being of athletes and provide useful advice in overcoming pressure or other psychological challenges

What SDSC will provide
- Letter of excuse to hospital or employer to apply for unrecorded leave
(*Should the application for unrecorded leave be rejected, SDSC will compensate for the loss of income.)
- Accommodation, food and travel expenses for the stipulated period of travel
- Reimbursement for any expenses required for medical supplies
